GET AROUND TOWN WITH EASE

The Kansas City Streetcar is free to ride and with 16 stops along Main Street you'll get to your destination with ease! The Streetcar line runs from River Market to the historic Union Station, traveling mostly along Main Street. Areas serviced include the Central Business/Convention District, the Power & Light District and Crown Center—not to mention the numerous business, restaurants, art galleries and residences along the way.

NATIONAL WORLD WAR I MUSEUM AND MEMORIAL 

The National World War I Museum and Memorial is the only American museum solely dedicated to preserving the objects, history and personal experiences of a war whose impact still echoes in the world today. The National World War I Museum holds the most diverse collection of World War I objects and documents in the world and is the second-oldest public museum dedicated to preserving the objects, history and personal experiences of the war. The Museum takes visitors on an epic journey through a transformative period and shares deeply personal stories of courage, honor, and patriotism and sacrifice. Designated by Congress as America’s official World War I Museum and located in downtown Kansas City, MO., the National World War I Museum inspires thought, dialogue and learning to make the experiences of the Great War era meaningful and relevant for present and future generations.

THE NELSON-ATKINS MUSEUM OF ART

You are invited to discover some of the 34,500 pieces in the collection of The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. From ceramic objects found in ancient Chinese tombs to whimsical sculptures of badminton birdies, the Nelson-Atkins collection spans over 5,000 years of humanity. 

The Nelson-Atkins aspires to create a glorious environment- the ongoing experience which is in itself as compelling as a single “blockbuster” event. Each visit to the Nelson-Atkins brings different connections and unique experiences. Whether you are exploring the collection for the first time or the hundredth time, there’s always something new.

CROWN CENTER

Home to the international headquarters of Hallmark Cards, Crown Center offers something for everyone. The three-level Crown Center Shops feature more than 50 shops and restaurants. Eating options range from a burger spot where meals are delivered by miniature train to the city’s only Forbes Four-Star dining experience, The American Restaurant. Shopaholics are drawn to the unique specialty stores, headlined by Halls Kansas City. Theatregoers can choose from award-winning youth-oriented shows at The Coterie and musicals at the Musical Theater Heritage.  Crown Center Square, located right across from the shopping center, is the heart of the complex. It’s home to events throughout the year that are great for the whole family, including ethnic festivals, an antique show, outdoor movie series and live music. LEGOLAND Discovery Center and SEA LIFE Aquarium also reside on the square. Also at the complex are free Hallmark-sponsored activities. The Hallmark Visitors Center details the illustrious history of the world’s leader in personal expression, while Kaleidoscope offers a creative art experience for children ages 5-12. HARLEY-DAVIDSON VEHICLE & POWERTRAIN OPERATIONS FACTORY TOUR

Your tour experience begins with an introductory video. Then it’s on to the factory floor where you’ll witness a wide range of operations from welding, laser-cutting and frame-bending, to polishing and assembly. You’ll see fenders and fuel tanks being formed, newly painted frames hanging on the line, and sophisticated robotic welding technology. You’ll also see the Revolution® powertrain assembled from cankercase to cylinder heads.

TOM’S TOWN DISTILLING COMPANY

Located in Kansas City’s historic Crossroads district, Tom’s Town draws inspiration from the country’s most polarizing and corrupt political boss, Tom Pendergast. Tom’s Town brings to life the glamorous magnetism of Gatsby-era bon vivants. Tom’s Town Distilling Co. Downtown Kansas City’s first legal distillery since Prohibition, offers one-hour tours that include an in-depth look at the distillation process and history of the company’s namesake.

When it comes to great food, Kansas City has made its mark. KC barbecue. KC strip. Even the cuisine that doesn’t bear its moniker is known to possess a uniquely KC twist that makes it something special. It's a scene that embodies the city's many cultural influences, from indigenous flavors and home-style cooking to fusion foods and beyond. Steak houses, barbecue, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Mediterranean, fine dining, coffee shops – you name it. KC has it. The only question now is, what sounds good to you?
